How narration in another language works

    1. 1. Pick the language first. The script is written in the narration language, even when the slides are in English.
    2. 2. Review the scripts. Edit any slide's script before audio is generated. This is the place to fix terminology or keep product names in English.
    3. 3. Choose a voice. The voice list only shows voices that speak the language you picked. Higher tiers use more credits per slide; see pricing.

Want to compare voice tiers in English first? Listen to the voice tier comparison.

    Language FAQ

Can I narrate an English PowerPoint in another language?
Yes. Choose the narration language before generating scripts, and SlideNarrator writes each slide's script in that language from your slide text and speaker notes. The slides themselves are not translated, so you may want localized slides for on-screen text.
Should someone review a script in another language?
If the video is going to customers or employees who speak that language, yes. Have a fluent speaker read the scripts before you generate audio, especially for product names, legal terms, and industry vocabulary.
    Which languages support voice cloning?
Custom cloned voices support English, French, German, Spanish (Mexico), Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal). Every other language uses the built-in voices listed on this page.
Why do some languages have more voices than others?
Voice coverage comes from the speech providers SlideNarrator uses. Widely spoken languages have voices across several tiers, while some languages currently have one or two voices.
    What does Beta mean?
Beta languages are available to use but newer to the voice catalog. Narrate one slide and listen before you generate a full deck.
