SlideNarrator offers extensive multi-language support. You can generate audio narration in 23 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, and more. For script-only generation, we support over 50 languages. When you generate both audio and script together, the language selection is based on our 23 supported audio languages to ensure perfect synchronization.
What file formats does SlideNarrator support?
SlideNarrator supports PowerPoint (.pptx) and PDF files up to 300 slides/pages. Simply upload your PowerPoint presentation or PDF file and our AI will convert it to professional audio narration and written scripts.
Can I update my PowerPoint later without remaking all the audio?
Yes. Upload a revised deck to the same project. In Video Studio or the project editor, replace the PPTX or PDF when slides change. SlideNarrator matches pages by content when possible so existing narration stays with the right slides. You can review uncertain matches; brand-new slides start without audio until you add it.
How does the credit system work?
SlideNarrator uses a unified credit system for all features:

• 1 credit per slide
Audio Narration & Text-to-Speech (TTS):
• Standard voices: 1 credit per 3,000 characters
• Neural voices: 1 credit per 1,000 characters
• Generative/Studio/Next-Gen voices: 1 credit per 500 characters

Script Generation + Audio Narration:
• Each slide uses 1 credit for script generation, plus additional credits for audio based on total script length:

What happens if there's an error during processing?
If an error occurs during processing, no credits or slides will be deducted from your account. We only count successful processing toward your monthly limits, ensuring you're never charged for failed attempts.
Can I purchase additional slides without a subscription?
Yes! You can purchase credit packs that give you access to premium features without a monthly subscription. Credits never expire and can be used anytime.
How does voice cloning work and what do I need?
Our voice cloning uses advanced neural models to recreate your voice from just a short sample. You only need to record a 15-30 second voice clip for a highly accurate clone. By giving your consent, we securely upload this sample, generate a custom AI voice model, and store it, no additional recordings are required. You can then use that cloned voice for all narration, subject to our terms of service and privacy policy.
Can I delete my voice data and everything related?
Yes. You can remove a custom voice and its related data anytime. Open Voices in your dashboard, select the voice, and delete it. That erases your audio sample, cloned voice model, and related generated files from our servers. Contact support if you need help confirming a deletion.
How accurate is the AI narration?
SlideNarrator produces highly accurate, natural-sounding AI narration using advanced models like GPT-4.1, GPT-5, Amazon Polly neural voices, and Google TTS. The accuracy depends on your slide content quality and chosen AI model. Premium voices include neural, generative, Studio and Next-Gen options for professional-quality results limited to 3000 characters per slide. Custom voices are limited to 4000 characters per slide.
How long do you store my generated content?
Unsaved content is temporarily stored for 7 days, then automatically deleted. Saved projects work differently: your presentation file is stored until you delete the project, while generated audio (30 days) and videos (15 days) are retained temporarily. You can regenerate audio and videos anytime from your saved projects. Download your files or save as a project to ensure you don't lose your work.
What happens if some slides fail to process?
You can still download successfully processed slides even if some fail. If errors occur during processing (e.g., 1 slide fails out of 30), you'll be able to download the content from the 29 successful slides. You will only be charged for slides that were successfully processed - no charges apply to failed slides. The download section will clearly indicate which slides failed and provide detailed error information.
Is SlideNarrator a slide reader?
No. SlideNarrator is not a slide reader. It doesn't just read slides aloud in your browser. Upload a PowerPoint or PDF and SlideNarrator writes a script, adds AI voiceover synced to each slide, and exports a share-ready MP4 for training, courses, or LMS upload.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
All purchases are final and we do not offer refunds once a subscription or credit pack has been purchased. Please review your plan and usage before confirming payment. For subscriptions, be mindful of your billing cycle and cancel before your next renewal date if you no longer wish to be charged. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
